Whoa. I never meant to break.[Open thread] « Thread Started on Nov 23, 2007, 9:32pm »
I was never the smartest girl. Or the fastest. Or the bravest. And yet, I've been blessed with a destiny. A destiny that has come to me from a past life. I don't understand it. And I'm not sure why I was given this destiny. But I do know this, my brother and I ruled this world years ago. And I will continue to protect it. Till the end of my days.
Saiyuri Chiba stepped out into the bright sunshine. Dark Chanel sunglasses covered her eyes, her raven black hair hanging part up part down across her shoulders. Her white capris came down past her knees a little, and her light blue tank top rested comfortably over her upper torso. It was warm out. The end of spring, the begining of summer. And Saiyuri was enjoying her Friday afternoon. Although she was alone, the rest of her friends out doing something else, she didn't mind. She was shopping for gifts for her friends. Plus her older brother's birthday was coming upon them soon. And she wanted to get him something fantastic.
Walking along the sidewalk, wearing a bright smile on her pout lips, her dark eyes gazed at windows from behind her glasses. She stumbled upon a book store and stopped in her tracks. Mamoru loved to read. When his girlfriend Usagi wasn't bothering him. Saiyuri's smile widened as she slipped inside the book store, hunting for the perfect book for her older brother.

Taro Mutou sighed as he walked down aisle looking for nothing of any interest. He just had to get away from the people at his new highschool. They wanted to help him way too much. This was one of the times he hated being the new guy at any school. He was either picked on or the girls wanted to date him. Which wasn't a bad thing but he always felt like they felt sorry for him. Being and orphan and all.
He had changed schools mostly because of money problems. Taro was even starting to wish he was living in England again. But when he had heard that some strange people were attacking Japan he had to see...he had to see if his brother was with them. And his brother was...and it just about killed him.
Taro....or rather Azurite remembered the past quite well. He remembered his brother, Zoisite suddenly betraying everything that was considered good in their universe. He ran a hand through his long sandy blond locks. He had to move past the loss of his brother and focus on the future. Which oddly sounded like something his brother would say to him.
Pull yourself together, Azurite. You came into the book store for a stupid reason. Your going to have to face those new classmates sooner or later. He looked up and decided to look at the books in the aisle he was in. 'Myths and Legends' Suprisingly he saw a book about myths about the moon so he picked it up.

Her eyes were focused on a book. Sure she had come in looking for one for her brother, but she found one she was interested instead. Typical Saiyuri. Flipping through the pages, she smiled lightly. It was all about Earth's myths and legends. It even included some on the moon. One of the myths was dead on. It was about how the Earth once had a great kingdom, and the moon did as well. Supposedly, the Earth's prince and the Moon's princess had fallen in love. And that love ended in disator. Yup. That was pretty much what had happened. Saiyuri smiled brightly and laughed lightly to herself.
She wondered if a senshi had written the tale, and some scholar had picked up on it. It was quite possible. Setsuna had been known to do things like that. But Saiyuri doubted it really. This was probably just some old man's strange memory, and a scholar thought it would be something interesting.
Lifting a hand up to her the raven color of her hair, she slipped it through, before closing the book and setting it back up on the shelf. Her eyes continued to scan through, looking for anything her brother would find interesting.

Taro had been reading when he heard a light laugh next to him. He looked to see who had laughed out of the connor of his eye. He saw a girl around his age manybe younger holding a similar book like the one he was holding. He focused back on the book looking through it trying to see if there was any mention of his brother and his friends. Sadly, there was no mention expect for a small part that said the prince was guarded by four guardians. There weren't any names.
He placed it back on the shelf and started to look for a different book. It didn't take him too long because to his left he found a book about the four heavenly kings. It was a combination of the Buddist four kings and the second half was about many different myths and even some modern things. The modern half were a collection of eye witness accounts of when Beryl attacked. The collection of myths centered around the past he was most knoweledge about about.
Taro gave a bright smile knowing that he had found something interesting. He went to the modern part of the book and saw a good picture of his brother just about to send an attack at the senshi. He felt like he was about to get upset, maybe he would have shed a tear if he wasn't standing near a girl. He closed the book and decided to get one more. He looked across the aisle and suprisingly found a totally different section. This one was labeled Science. He laughed when he saw one book that had a title saying Why isn't Pluto a planet? He was pretty sure that the senshi of Pluto wouldn't be happy if she saw that. He kept looking till he saw a book on Biology. He wanted more than anything to be a Biologist in this life.

A little bell rang as a girl with long blonde hair and a red bow entered the store. Unlike most of the people there, she wasn't interested in expanding what little knowledge she had or even reading a book. Instead she headed straight for the manga section. Minako knew that her friend Ami would be furious if she found out that she actually entered a bookstore on her own without being dragged there only to read the latest volume of her favorite manga. 'Well, what Ami doesn't know won't hurt her!' She quickly found the manga she was looking for, the newest edition of Sailor V. She giggled to herself when she looked at the cover. It was Sailor V with her long blonde hair, red mask, and sailor outfit. She almost exactly resembled Minako. Well actually Sailor V {i]was[/i] Minako but very few people knew that.
When Minako was done looking at the cover, she went and sat done at one of the tables at the store and began to read the manga. It just so happened that she was sitting almost directly across from the 'Myths and Legends' aisle. She looked up and saw a boy and a girl both looking at books. They both seem familiar to her but she couldn't remember from where. Then she took a closer look at the books they were reading. The were both about legends of the moon. Minako became immediately interested. "I wonder if I'm in there." she said to herself. She watched as they both put there books back and continued looking for other books. Curious, Minako picked up her manga and walked over to the area they found the books on the moon and began to search for them herself.
